I imagine layers and layers of paint on my 30 year old wooden palette; waiting to be excavated. As I dig further and further down each layer, there is a glimpse of the past, each painting, each successful or failed attempt and conveying something. Each layer exposing a moment of ego, insecurity, bravado, contentment, or peace.
Fossils in a timeline of progress and perception...every growing, and ever interpreted.
