I call this a realistic landscape, but it could also be called impressionistic or surrealistic. The subject is a mallard duck, and it was taken in the winter in Fairbanks, Alaska when the temperature was below zero F. It was taken of the Chena River that does not freeze all winter because it is downstream of an electric power plant that discharges heated water used to cool the plant. Some ducks do not migrate, and spend all winter here.
It is signed and numbered on the margin outside the photo image.
The high quality watercolor paper has bright whites and colors and the texture gives a "painterly" quality to the print.
