Artist's description:

Some people identify as patriots and naturally spring to the defence of their country of origin. Nothing, including war, would drive them from their home. Some people do not care for politics, but circumstances force them to become involved. Some people try to escape from their motherland and seek a better life in a different country. Some people move abroad for work if the opportunity arises, and in the process they all acquire the label of 'foreigner'. If the nation is rich and peaceful then they start to believe that this new land is their own, a place to settle and raise children - but they are still foreigners and always will be. They surround themselves with like-minded people, of similar outlook and language. They are the first to feel the uncertainties caused by political upheaval, and are the most vulnerable to the winds of change. They have to move again….fucked by the fickle finger of fate....
