Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This painting is inspired by the dreadful conditions inwhich captive Tigers live in the zoos of the Far East.I wanted to portray this Tiger in a forest clearing, free from the cramp enclosure where he previously lived. He's an escapee, free from from the cruelty of man.
