The Day of Spirits is an ancient Russian holiday. On this day, the Slavs remembered their deceased ancestors. There was a legend that the ancestors come in the form of birds to communicate with their loved ones. The Slavs celebrated, dressed up in the best outfits, went round dances, danced, arranged scenes with disguises,prepared delicious treats for everyone. This day was celebrated in June.
