I find intriguing the idea of moving between abstraction and figuration. Also defining then blurring edges. Playing with distinctions between planes, solid objects and areas of softer effects. Exploring ideas of defacement or loss of face or slipping masklike impassivity / surface calm. Colours as metaphors. Agatha Christie on acid. Rural bliss vs rural unease.
