Original artwork description:

The crazy doglady loves her gang of dogs! And who wouldn't!?
This collage is made on a fabulous fabric which has a really warm linen look to it - very Scandinavian but it is actually an old French linen sheet! The doglady is wearing a very fetching woollen hat and she has a coat made of brown cotton. And Hunter wellingtons of course! She has been carefully stitched on apart from the legs and face where I did not want stitches to spoil the natural skin look.
Her dogs are a right rowdy bunch. I have used a fake fur vest and a teddy fleece to create their furs and it looks too funny! Each dogs has been carefully stitched onto a backing fabric and then carefully cut out and glued onto the collage. I wanted them to stand out from the background fabric and it really worked. The background has just been subtly stitched with blue thread for the sky and green for the field - I wanted it all to be about the dogs.

The collage is backed with white linen and it has a channel at the top so it is ready to hang off a little pole or wooden dowel or similar. Alternatively, the collage can be framed.

I have embroidered my signature and the title of the collage on the front.

Materials used:

heavy cotton, mixed textiles, embroidery, fake fur, teddy, lots of silly imagination!
