Original artwork description:

When I had my daughter, I worried about not being able to relate to her. That I would be that father that botched everything as the typical guy. I thought I would have to work hard to not be that, but it hasn't been a second thought since she came home for the first time, and I have watched her grow into my amazing young girl.

Larisa is 7 years old, and she is badass! I like to think that my wife, who is badass as well, and I helped guide her to this point. It is important for us to ensure she knows how strong and capable she is. There will be no barriers, no wall to hold her back. We are teaching her, the only wall is the one you build yourself (oh yeah, and all the privileged men who try harder now to keep women down because they feel they are losing their power). She will have to bust through any wall placed in front of her, and do it with confidence.

Times are changing, and I am so looking forward to the world where inequality, harassment, and sexism are eradicated. I will see my girl become a woman who is on that other side.

These paintings are my meditation, my mantra for hers, and all other women's success, happiness, and freedom from the "Man's World" but what will be "Our World"

Materials used:

acrylic, vinyl lettering, spray paint, rice paper, glossy gel medium
