A dove blue sea and a red sky - how do they go together? The picture taken with the telephoto lens only shows a small section of the sky and the sea. At the zenith the sky was dark blue; an impenetrable, dark, dove-blue bank of clouds reached almost to the horizon. The low but steep waves mostly reflected light from higher parts of the sky to the eye. That light was dark blue or powder blue. The colors are not manipulated afterwards.
