Original artwork description:

This is a little oil painting from my recent trip to the lovely harbour of Staithes in North Yorkshire. After a day of trying to paint rather unsuccessfully outside where I had got quite drenched in a downpour, I decided to start this oil painting from the warmth of the cottage we were staying in (Eastview). From the bedroom window as the dusk was starting to fall, we had this fantastic view looking past the street lamp and to the sea, via the lovely harbourside pub, the Cod and Lobster.
I wanted to capture the warm evening glow of the lights against the cooling grey blues of the water, mmm that pub does look welcoming!
Comes painted on board which could be hung without a frame.
This painting is in a private collection but limited edition giclee prints can be made available, please contact me for this option.
