"The Cleanse"
Trying to get anything done in a messy area can be frustrating and painful due to the inability to get into a flowing state in your mind. You are always interrupted by having to locate something that throws off the momentum. It takes up extra room and on a subconscious and sometimes conscious level, contracts your vision, you ability to see and think things through past a certain point. It fills up the physical space around you, and fills up the space in your mind for continuous thought. See it as piles of thrash being thrown onto a racetrack. The driver can go forever around the track, zooming through, around and around and around. You start throwing things onto the track and the driver will need to slow down or even stop at times in order to continue driving. He will have to avoid these obstacles that you threw in his way. The same works with your thought, your potential. The clutter takes up the physical and mental space.
If you are ever faced with the feeling of being stuck, not going anywhere, your mind feeling aloof, look at your surroundings. Have you been paying attention to all that is accumulated around you? Have you placed your focus on the things that have been under our nose this whole time? Have you taken the time to actually open your eyes and experience your surroundings? You can find that through the process of giving focus to all of these things that have been right there this whole time and organizing them into their proper places or getting rid of them if you do not need them anymore, you are simultaneously doing the same in your mind. Your physical reality is a direct representation of your state of mind and the thoughts that you continue to have on a day to day basis.
As you go through the motion of organization, your thoughts become more collected because, just like in your daily activities, you are able to find things when you need them, everything runs smoother because there are no distractions for you and you are able to be as productive as possible, your mind too can have free reign on all that you want from the world, from idea that rush through, or revelations that we can experience through introspection, on whatever subject. We are no longer slowed down by mental clogs. We are able to reach smooth and soothing flow of thoughts into our minds that allow us to again, be more productive in the exterior world, bringing in our dreams directly to us, as we enjoy the process of achieving those dreams.
