I'm intrigued and fascinated by the ever-changing landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in South Wales. I love the play of light, the movement of the weather, and the flow of water through the landscape. Streams and rivers cascade through deep gorges and over waterfalls. This year, the area was granted dark skies status, with protection from light pollution.
The mountains are extraordinarily beautiful, but the weather can change before you know it, and it suddenly becomes a very dangerous, and lonely, place to be. This painting is the most recent of my series on the Brecons, with more to follow.
