Mixed medium painting of mature woman engaged in a very intimate moment.
The work consist of a mixture of water colors and pen; My first; in that I always thought of water colors as being too messy and uncontrollable for my taste. However, when I started working with them, I became fascinated by the relationship between the surface of the paper and the colors; how the directional application of the brush stroke allowed me to develop that relationship with a more relaxed state of mind.
I chose this subject matter because I believe that both form and expressions are very important attributes which give us a glimpse of what's going on beneath the surface of either a person or...in this case, a painting. As information gathers, we never get bored with either speculation or knowledge.
