Artist's description:

This painting is from my series of modern Seascapes. The Blasket Islands are situated off the coast of Kerry. They were inhabited for centuries until 1953, when they were evacuated due to a declining population and extreme weather patterns. Today they are considered one of the main tourist attractions in Ireland, due to their cultural output, linguistic studies and major Irish language works. My view is from Dunquin, focusing on the ever changing light and sea, a drama which offers continuous inspiration to many artists. If you have any questions, please contact me, enjoy.
