This small oil on a linen canvas was painted during lockdown in successive glazes in order to give the work depth and luminosity. In october 2019 the artist had made a few sketches and two watercolors on location which he used as studies. This painting describes the peaceful atmosphere of this lovely beach bordered on each side by red ochre rocks. On the rocky outcrops overlooking the beach are built luxury houses hence the name 'baie des milliardaires ' (billionaires cove).
