Original artwork description:

The Balance is a piece created just before the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

The piece was created based on the concept of the Yin-Yang, representing two sides to one's self, or in this case, my self. At the time I was searching deeper into my soul and mind for inner truth and how each opposing qualities in my being can find peace together and complement each other.

Phevos is a representation of my masculine characteristics, whereas, Athena focuses on my feminine traits. Both gods come together in unison and breathe tranquility and peace.

Materials used:

Acrylic
