Artist's description:

A portrait of British actress Lydia Leonard who starred as Anne Boleyn in a dramatisation of Hilary Mantel’s 'Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies' National Theatre and Life in Squares (Virginia Woolf). In this portrait the viewer is not only invited to engage with the subject but also to take a closer look around the kitchen and share the everyday aspects of her personal environment communicating a warm and intimate exchange between sitter and observer. The portrait explores the complex interplay between themes, subjects and formal values that reinforce the works understated emotional stance and power.

All paintings are offered framed using traditional Italian gesso moldings which are handmade and painted.
