Artist's description:

The painting is titled “Temple Ceremony” as it depicts the leader of the ceremony at the temple performing a cleansing before the ceremony begins. This part of the ceremony is called ''matur uning piodalan’' where the purpose is a notice to god that the ceremony will be conducted and preparations are beginning. This painting depicts an atmosphere of a forest temple with the leader of the ceremony conducting the offerings presented to the god. The offerings are in a form of agricultural products such as fruits. The painting also depicts two girls singing the songs of praise to the god where in Bali we call this ‘'kidung''.
