Artist's description:

Tathagata or simply the Buddha was an ascetic and a sage, on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. He is believed to have lived and taught mostly in the eastern part of ancient India sometime between the sixth and fourth centuries BCE.
This painting depicts the calmness and peaceful stature of Tathagata. Basic acrylic colors have been used on canvas without any other medium and adulteration to maintain the purity and sanctity of Buddha himself.
