I have been working on this piece for a couple of months now and I am happily in love with it to say it is complete! It is created on two 48x48" canvas pieces to create a 4x8' diptych using quality acrylic paints, charcoal and textile. It has a gallery wrap and ready to hang (or frame). It has something to do with hot NYC nights, an aerial view combined with the smell of the tar at Coney island as a kid. A strangely beautiful combination. This was the first piece created in my very large second studio where my process had to change a bit to accommodate that I was not physically with the work 24/7. It was an interesting play between being completely with the canvas and surrendering to it, putting things on and ripping them off the surface. Then when I went to my home studio and couldn't "be" with it, i would spend hours with it in photoshop to go back to it the next day with a photo of it on my tablet and work with it again. I struggled with it and I hope it shows, I hope the resolution and the love shows too and that you enjoy it!
