A sketch from seaside – Malinska, Island Krk, Croatia, made by memory.
Paintings and sketches from Cycle People and the Sea are in relation to the seaside, to summer time that is connected with vacations and with people to be near the sea.
In this sketches I'm fascinated: how the sea, seaside and place attract people, how the sea – seaside become summer constancy; a time that cannot be exchanged and is necessary like food:
a time to take a rest, to be on the sun, to breathing sea, to swim, to take hours for observing the sea, to be hours on the beach, to meet and talk with people or with family members, to be with children, …
It is about time near sea: where people drop their uniformity, separation of spaces; it's about the necessity of being near sea and absorbing hours!
People do not matter if they are squeeze as sardines in a small place: it does not matter at all: everyone wants their space by the sea: and that's all!
In the paintings i was interested mostly in the dialogues between people and how this is important to know more about each other.
