Artist's description:

Taboo (caught) Triptych looks at taboos. it's made of three canvases depicting a figure being "caught" by the viewer. In the first canvas the figure fills the white space the viewer can see through unaware. The second canvas both viewer and figure see each other and react. The viewer starting to look away the figure pulling up his sheet. In the last canvas the figure is nearly out of view and the figure begins to cover his mouth. The question asked is what is the taboo? What has the figure been caught doing? At first it would appear the figure is pulling up his sheet to cover his nudity but in the last canvas it appears he is trying to rub off his lipstick. It also highlights that for something to be taboo there musty be a viewer. Alone the figure was happy to stand naked wearing lipstick it is only how the viewer/society reacts can something be taboo.
