Artist's description:

Limited edition photo print, a closeup of a portion of the jet engine of a T-38 jet airplane. This is from a photograph I took at an undisclosed location.

The famed Northrup T-38 jet has a long history of use by NASA, and was regularly used by U.S. astronauts for training. I was attracted to the bright yellow paint on the fuselage of this particular airplane, and the subtle interplay of blacks on the inlet cone of the jet engine. In the photo, I zoomed way in, to explore the interplay between the compelling geometry of the shapes, and the details of the painted metal surface.

Materials used:

Archival pigment print on 100% heavyweight rag paper
