This 11"x14" original painting of irises is called Sweet Scent of Summer. When you stand in the field of flowers you instantly feel uplifted and carefree. Suddenly you get the urge to dive into them like in the ocean. The dusty scent of dirt gets mixed in with the sweet scent of irises and the shimmering sunlight makes it look all like a dream. 

This is an original artwork, painted with acrylic paints and marble powder. I mix marble powder with my paints to create texture and distressed look. The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and its 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted, the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.
