Having just celebrated midsummer in Sweden out in the countryside, I was amazed at the huge array of wild flowers growing in the hedgerows and meadows. Lots of yellows and whites, plus banks of wild Lupins on the grass verges. The trees are alive now with fresh spring green leaves, and everything seems bursting with new life.
This painting is inspired by them and the lovely wooden red country cottages in Sweden, that the Swedes use at the weekends to relax and unwind from a busy week at work.
Acrylic paint on box canvas with painted edges.
