Artist's description:

A fantasy portrait of comic book artist Dan Malone from 1986, when he was a colleague of mine at Palace Software. He was good at gurning and volunteered himself to pose for a photo or two in the street outside the Scala Cinema in Kings' X (where we had our offices) and I just happened to have some Infra-Red Ektachrome in my camera at the time (hence his hair being a burnt ginger and not black). The Aircraft carrier was the only thing big enough to carry the weight of this extremely important head.

Materials used:

Oil paint

Carriers (1986)
