The way that I often choose to work is to absorb the scenes that inspire me, and then later recollect them to make my pictures. This is definitely the case with this work, which is the result of frequent visits to local piers to get an impression of them at various times of the day. Although it is not specific to Worthing, Brighton or Eastbourne, I hope that this picture will strike a chord with anyone who loves to be beside the sea.
