I have a particular place I like to paint sunsets. Even though I paint their often, every sunset is different. It's a good practice for me to do them en plein air regularly. Its very hard to predict exactly what the sky is going to do, so they are always painted rapidly. Because of this, the viewer really gets a feeling of my direct response to the quickly changing dramatic sky.
