Artist's description:

A seascape of The Palace Pier, Brighton, England, viewed from below as the sun sets with people making the most of the last glimmers of light. With this painting I wanted to capture the grandeur and elegance of the structure as well as a myriad of reflections and light. The Palace Pier was opened on 20th May 1899. By 1911, it had a both Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin performed their comic skills early in their career, before migrating to the US and finding major commercial success in Hollywood.

Materials used:

MDF, primer, oil paint
