Artwork description:

"Sunset" is an abstract interpretation of the beauty and power of a sunset. I made this to share with you the feeling of awe that comes from watching the colors and light change at day's end.

This is a hand-pulled woodblock print. It was made by carving away areas of a block of wood, applying ink to the surface, and then printing that onto a block of wood. This is repeated for each color.

Please see "Sunrise," a sister image of "Sunset". They look fantastic together!

Materials used:

relief ink
