Artist's description:

This striking, dynamic abstract oil painting is based around my experiences of walking on the fells in Cumbria, UK. A keen Fell walker, this large colourful painting was inspired from seeing the Autumn sunlight through the mountains. The beautiful red hues echo the feeling of Autumn and the paint application hints at the mists so prevalent at this time of year.

The technique I have used is a thin mixture of quality oil paints, painting mediums and linseed oil to make the paint as thin and translucent as possible.

I use a greener alternative to traditional turpentine and white spirit.
