"Sunlight Dew" is an original, high texture, minimalist and monochromatic, abstract oil painting measuring 8 x 10 inches on a canvas panel, matted to a frame size of 11 x 14, painted using a firm bristle brush, cold wax, and oil paint.

The Inspiration: So much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like "Sunlight Dew” specifically emphasize the textural element of oil paintings with a mix of oil paint and cold wax. Using one firm-bristled brush, each brush stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion and descending intensity from dark to light is always a very soothing process for me.
