Artist's description:

These images renounce to any narrative intention and relate to the photographer feeling. The work may fall into the so called "photographs of reality" category where the real refers only to the optical image precision that here on the contrary evokes visions far from reality.

The visual effect can be conceivable but digital post- production allows me a freer interpretation of the subject coming to an absolutely subjective result.

A path not very different from that followed by the painting in the nineteenth century freed, thanks to photography that replaced it, from the descriptive function and from the bondage of form.

Nowadays, thanks to digital evolution, more than in the past, photography becomes incontenstably production and not mere reproduction;commits itself, therefore, on a front antithetical to its inherent, specific reproductive ability.

I then produce in almost pictorial interventions, which allow me to spell my identity, which may perhaps recall the delicacy of Impressionist painting, trying to translate the reality in a poetic way, trying to witness more fully my thoughts.

I find the sea in my deepest feelings, a sea that marks the absence of time and shows the fleetingness of life; so these pictures are looking for a moment in which quiet and absence are one together.

If photography is literally “writing of the light” and therefore has a direct, undoubtable and important relationship with the reality of which it is the representation, it is not reduced to being just a faithful copy of the same and we hope that the reproduction of reality in photography, can finally be relegated only to RAW files.
