Artist's description:

This painting is based on a photo of the Four Rivers Fountain, created by Bernini, on Piazza Navona, that I took on a very hot summer day in Rome. It's a mix of humans and sculptures that create a continuum of shapes and gestures posing questions about art, life and time. The painting was created for "Sanctuaries in Time" exhibition in New York City. As in most of my work, I start with acrylics and continue with oils to create more subtle transparencies and details.
