Artist's description:

Summer was a study of the colors I wanted to use to depict the essence of the summer season. I was creating a series of abstract watercolors to depict each of the fours seasons using colors that best represented each season. I used mostly a wet into wet technique so that the colors would blend together. I also layered colors to make different areas of the piece more bold.I used greens, blues, and yellows to represent summer but then added a bold red to add contrast and to make the green stand out even more. I kept it abstract and nonobjective to show more of the essence rather than be distracted with a specific subject.
