Heavy layers of acrylic paints first poured onto the canvas to create the background texture then a combination of brush, sponge, and acrylic pens used to paint the image formed. All materials used are high quality, professional material of gallery standard. Every inch of the painting is carefully considered to apply the right amount of paint in creating this stunning large artwork that took the artist over four months to complete. During the time it took to complete the painting, the artist considered changing the image of a submerged face with open eyes but decided to go with closed eyes to create a mystery around the woman.
