A beach in Kent which I dearly love. I have seen this stretch of southern England many times, sometimes calm and tranquil with masses of picnickers and children enjoying a day out.
But as the season change so does the sea and the sky. Often one encounters just a few people walking in the wind - the hardy lot I call them - I have been one of them!
The whole place can become almost unrecognisable with the sky dark and stormy and the beach almost otherworldly. The sea may be wild and the air bracing, but what an experience!
