Artist's description:

We've all seen those ghost trees that have been left by the side of the road or in fields by a lightning strike. Match that with the gorgeous pink-mauve brooding of a stormy sky across a rippling field of rape flowers and you have a moment in a journey I made earlier in the year.

This is one of ten paintings in the Light Series inspired by conversations about aging and observations on journeys taken to look after my aging mother.

The acrylic painting incorporates luminescent layers and textured paint which makes it shimmer in changing lights (even more than layered acrylic already does). Painted with brushes and paint pens on canvas, on shallow stretchers, with white edges.

D-ring fixers and hanging cord attached. Will look fabulous on the wall as is, or if you prefer a frame you can do so to suit your budget and decor.

More about the inspirations for the "Light Series" of works created in 2017 are on my [website blog]().

Depending on the settings on your mobile/tablet/PC/Mac the colours may differ slightly to the painting you receive. The painting does change colour and brightness depending on the light that is playing on it (as seen in the photos).
