The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like "Stone Surge” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. Using only one firm-bristled brush, each brush stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion and descending intensity from dark to light is always a very therapeutic process for me.
