Original artwork description:

I was in my local shops one Saturday doing my weekly food run and this young girl (Anna) approached asking if I knew what aisle the olive oil was on. As I was trying to help her find what she was looking for I could not help but notice what a deep beauty she had. yes beautiful on the outside, but so much more going on inside. Once we found the oil, I could not help but ask if I may paint her. Thankfully she said yes and this painting is the result.

As I was painting Anna and we had chatted I got to see deeper, so mush passion and determination, her eyes said so much I keep painting them again and again trying to find more of her life. This painting felt like an emotional jump, a leap towards my next works.

The study of people gives us a better understanding of ourselves, allows us to be more forgiving and compassionate for our own failings and for the failings of those around us. We are here to fall, to stand up once more.


Oil on canvas 60x60cm
UV varnished to help protect against sunlight and everyday dirt and dust.
Sides have been painted so no framing is required unless wished. Ready to hang with a hanging wire attached.
Securely packed with layers of bubble wrap and cardboard.
