At Kilve, again. It's an area of the coutry that I love.
This was one of those breathless moments when evening seems to creep so slowly and the whole world seems to be holding its breath.
I hope I've captured some of that stillness and peace in this picture.
I've been playing with mixed media techniques lately, using an underpainting in oils to get the tone I want and then working up the final painting when that layer has dried.
The painting is framed very simply in a wooden frame. It is varnished lightly, just to protect the surface and is all ready to hang.
