STILL

STILL

This was taken on 1.January 2018 in a nature reservate in central-east Switzerland. This is a piece of woodland which is almost not frequented and who has a extremly calm character. Close to that place there is also a hidden celtic hill that you`ll find only if strolling offside in the woodland. (It is not marked as such on maps and it is know only by few. I stumpled over it too completely by chance. Maybe that day was indeed special.)

I caught a very special moment where the lights hit the branches which were slightly powdered with snow this first day of the year and the rays of the sun hitting the small path into a hidden piece of paradise. It was almost as if time stood still there, No noises, no wind, no birds, just silence and the fragile beauty of the elements coming together to give those special tones of colors. This photo was minimally edited for tone levels and lens in photoshop.

I love this photo and am happy to share it here as a treasure of what nature offers us each and every single day.

No second similar photo will be put up. I love to appreciate the specialness providing unique selected shoots. Authentic originals catching one moment - like paintings that you paint once.

(the second picture is a detail photo is a photo of the Hahnemühle Photo Rag print, so you can see the resolution and the structure of the paper)
---------------------
This photo is printed GLICEE technique and I would it almost consider a painting in impressionistic manner. If you go close the lines are blurry. It is best to watch it from a distance where your eye can catch the whole photo. So I would recommend it for big rooms. (See also the close-up photo of the print where you can see the rough resolution)

I am in love with Hahnemühle Photo Rag Fine Print paper made of 100% Cotton. For me it`s a pure joy to have this special photo printed on it. The velvet surface wants you to touch it and is a massage for the eyes. Printet with EPSON finest UltraChrome PRO 9-colour pigmented ink.

Giclée printing is a fine art printing process using pigment-based inks rather than the dye-based inks found in most standard printers. Giclée printing is done by a large-format machine that can print onto a variety of archival substrates including canvas. The results are high-quality, long-lasting fine art reproductions and limited edition prints.

For this photo following fine art printing paper and ink are used:

--> Hahnemühle PhotoRag is the classic fine art paper. Photo Rag is a real Fourdrinier paper from pure cotton fiber with a beautiful matte, velvety surface.

Hahnemühle is the reference for high-quality rag papers with a unique inkjet coating. PhotoRag is pH neutral, alkaline buffered and contains only small amounts of optical brighteners.

--> The fine art archival printing ink used is Epson UltraChrome PRO 9-colour pigmented ink set for exceptional colour and long lasting resistant quality.

DIMENSIONS: 122cm x 79.5cm , including a white border . You can also have a larger white border. Just write me how large it shall be. All 9 exemplares are numbered with serial number hologramm, signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. (I have a second size with a limited edition of 33 which comes in the size of 42 x 32)

p.s.: please be aware that the screen display brighter more luminous pictures due to the light technology.
