Original oil on painting fully painted around all four edges making framing unnecessary.
The painting is based on the famous stepping stones across the river Esk at Egton Bridge a village in the north york moors where I live. The image continues into a slightly surreal landscape and the sky and water start infiltrate the interior setting - this is the kind of ambiguity that I love to achieve. A landscape is just a landscape but the power of paint can lead the viewer's imagination into an alternative reality.
This is an oil painting on a deep sided box canvas - framing is not necessary as it is fully painted around all four edges. It is strung ready for immediate hanging. The size is 60cm x 70cm x 3.5cm
I am a very careful packer and for transport it will be double bubble wrapped and packed between sheets of plywood with the corners and sides further protected. The whole package will then be encased in stout brown paper.
