Artwork description:

This linocut originally started with some drawings of flowers and then I made a collage from these (using magazine of wallpaper and fabrics,pictures and photographs, ice on ponds, natural forms such as stems and seed heads, filling the outlines of the flowers) which then led onto this linocut print. Much of the pattern and texture evolved after I created digital textile designs from the collage and then drew into my scanned image on the computer. I played with filters and various other effects and techniques in photoshop. All this then inspired the patterns and textures in this linocut. I've also got printed cushion covers from the original collage in purples and reds.
