It was a hot day here in my studio in New York City as I allowed the layers of tint to absorb in free form on the canvas, working in deep violets and royal blues over a base of aquamarine-touching on cool waters. I find myself with glaze and a transparent but smoky tint in hand that rolls out seamless stacked ice cubes. From the early evening cooled drinks in the darkened bars or street side cafes of New York, to the high rise of stacked apartments in the city - all can be seen in these ice cubes needed to cool us down.
