I did this painting a few years ago, during one of my visits to the USA.... I kind of got on this subject, and for about a year, it was pretty much all I painted! The idea for adding the Chirp, came from my Sister in Laws Finches; so striking in their colors!!! I have kept this piece in my own little collection since then, but need to part with it now, so I can replace it with something a bit different.... Unlike my TRES Naive images of this past year or so, this one is a pretty straight ahead, impressionistic piece.... The edges are painted so that it can be hung, unframed...
