Artist's description:

The 8th version of a favourite London view, St Martin's Lane in the morning. Walking back from Soho towards Charing Cross. Contrasting washes help create a sense of almost direct sunlight.

However ... in a moment of distraction, I selected this upturned painting thinking it was a blank piece of watercolour paper and cut it in half with a mind to paint a couple of small, panoramic pieces. The cut was clean and I have rejoined the pieces with archival tape. From a distance you can't really see that the painting is in two pieces, up close, you can ... a bit. I have therefore decided to offer this 22" x 15" painting for £40 (was to be £85). Senior/Artistic moments happen to us all.

Painted in my studio on 200lb Waterford paper from sketches done on location (cut with Sheffield steel).

This unframed watercolour painting is signed on the front. Your painting will arrive wrapped in protective acid-free paper and rolled in a tough postal tube or sandwiched flat between sturdy card depending on size and destination.
