A large flower of a pink peony on a light abstract background , that resembles the sky.
The beauty of this peony flower that grew in our family garden inspired me to create this work.
My labor-intensive oil painting method uses many layers of thin transparent oil paint to give volume and glow to the petals of the flower.
Soft lines of silhouette and a calm palette emphasize the airiness of the flower, inviting peace and admiration into any space where it lives. Splashes of paint around the peony petals create a sense of fluid movement, elegant radiance, emotion and life.
The combination of pink and blue colors creates a balance of warm and cold.
Gallery stretch canvas means that the picture can be hung without a frame, the edges are painted in the sides of the picture.
