Artwork description:

This is a figurative portrait painting influenced by my life with Tourettes. It shows the twisting distorted figure in a pose of resignation with the colours of life flowing through the body. This is a self portrait yet a relatable image which could be any person at a stage in their life.
The colours are there to remind me of all the beauty life has to offer and to wait out the storm of Tourettes until things will settle and improve.
I painted this in 2017 in reflection of my life and the memories i have of my childhood. I reflected upon all the decisions I had made as an adult and what influenced me to make such decisions.
This painting is one of three paintings I completed within the Memories vein of inspiration.

I had Tourettes from the age of 12 and although they eased with time I have had anxiety attacks for most of my adult life. This is for anyone going through what I went through, the clouds will move on and the sunshine will brighten the day.
