A classic Spartan trailer captured by photographer William Dey.
The first Spartan prototype trailer was manufactured by the summer of 1945. Spartan used simi-monocoque construction never seen before in trailer manufacturing. They were determined to produce the best product found in the market. A small production run of 100 trailers similar to the prototype had been scheduled by later 1945, The company hired G.R. Schutes, a designer of national reputation, to give the overall design a more modern look incorporating forward looking deco styling.
